Meet us and get involved

Below are the meeting times and dates of NAUWU. NAUWU tends to meet when we are planning a protest or have a lot of business to discuss, at other times we keep in regular contact through an e-list which is an email group. We email each other any updates we may have from action we’re taking when we’re representing the group or representing the interests of sex workers in other forums.

Many of us have straight jobs and may be doing sex work at the same time; many of us are full time sex workers and some of us may be other key stakeholders in the industry who work full time. NAUWU understands that everyone is very busy and meeting on a weekly or fortnightly basis would be impossible for a lot of people. For this reason we use all technology at our disposal to keep in contact.

If you’re in a regional area (2+ hours out of Sydney) or find it hard to get to a meeting for other reasons, we do our best to make Skype and/or phone options available so you can still join in. Sometimes we are a little technologicaly challenged, but we can usually pull it off 99% of the time, so we encourage you to let us know if this is a better option for you.
