“How To” Guides

On this page we’ll put information that will give you some key things to think about and steps to consider when campaigning, lobbying, getting organised etc. The guides will give examples of these steps so it’s not all just theory but also practical.

The guides will include group things like how to organise as a group of sex workers like NAUWU has done. As sex workers we also understand the issues our peers face on a daily basis, so we’ll include guides on things like how to advocate for yourself if for example you face discrimination when visiting a doctor’s surgery or sexual health service.

Please download any of the guides that will be useful to you or your group. We ask that you please credit NAUWU for the contents of the guide if you’d like to publish them or use them in any way.

Letter Writing 101
This guide details how to write a campaign letter or a submission in the form of a letter. The practical use may be if you want to tell a politician your point of view, the media, local council or even your home state’s sex worker organisation.
