It's important for Sex Workers no matter where they are to understand the laws that affect them in the State they are working in, or planning on working in if they are touring. Each State has sex industry laws that are determined by the State and Territory Governments. It's important to keep an eye on the laws and regulations in the State that pertains to you, because things do change.

In NSW the sex industry is decriminalised, however there are changes being discussed that NAUWU and other key stakeholders are lobbying to have made fair and workable for NSW Sex Workers. The links below are to the Scarlet Alliance website which is the peak body for sex worker organisations in Australia. The Scarlet Alliance website has lots of really good information put in a clear and concise manner, so please check it out so you can make informed, safer decisions
